About the Course
This course introduces participants to carbon risk management for business and industry. Over the two days participants will gain an understanding of the financial threats and new business opportunities that climate change presents to their organisation. The course will draw on the early experiences of Australian industry including case studies from Telstra, Qantas and Origin Energy.
The course covers the process of identifying, measuring, analysing, reducing, offsetting and reporting Greenhouse Gas Emissions. Participants will learn how to identify and estimate the companys internal and external carbon footprint and to develop strategies to reduce and offset emissions.
At the completion of the course, participants will be well equipped to effectively plan and develop a GHG inventory quality management system that meets and exceeds the requirements of ISO14064.1 for effective risk and compliance management and improved environmental performance.
