With the roles and responsibilities of the Chief Risk Officers increasing in importance, and economic turmoil knocking on Africans doorstep. Organisation need to focus on controlling and developing structured frameworks that promote the accurate and correct mitigation of organisational risks, internally and externally. CRO’s today tend to pinpoint specific area of risk instead of having a lot of width in monitoring of risks.

The CRO has the potential to grow and improve business functions, to such a degree that when faced with a potential risk they are able to find opportunities and alternative growth paths that could be exploited to improve the bottom line.
