Processing of Nickel Ores and Concentrates (Nickel Processing '10)

Jun 17,2010 - Jun 18,2010
Falmouth Beach Resort Hotel, Falmouth, Cornwall, United Kingdom

Highlights

This, the 2nd International Symposium on Processing of Nickel Ores & Concentrates (Nickel Processing '10), is organised by Minerals Engineering International and sponsored by Xstrata Process Support.

The rapid fall in nickel prices after the global recession has increased the need to improve the efficiency of the processing of nickel ores and concentrates. Indeed, process efficiency is really the key to survival and this is a time when improved technology can make significant contributions to the economics of technical operations. It is intended that the conference will attract contributions from experts around the world, to provide a forum for discussion of common problems and possible performance opportunities.

The aim of this conference is to bring together researchers and plant operators, to discuss all aspects of the physical and chemical processing of nickel ores, copper-nickel ores and laterites, and nickel concentrates, including:

Froth Flotation and other beneficiation methods
Bio and Hydrometallurgy
Pyrometallurgy
Environmental aspects of nickel processing and smelting
