SPE/AAPG/SEG Workshop: From Macro to Micro - The Description and Analysis of Tight Gas Sand Reservoirs
Jun 29,2009 - Jun 30,2009The Brown Palace Hotel, Denver, Colorado
-
Highlights
Due to the unique challenges posed by tight gas sand reservoirs, considerable effort has been made during the past few years on developing new logging and core evaluation techniques. These have improved our ability to understand the petrophysical characteristics and rock physics of these complex reservoirs. Additionally, new and innovative geophysical techniques are being rapidly developed and deployed in an effort to better image and understand unconventional reservoirs. Even with the new advances in technology, due to the complexity of these reservoirs, results are often unexpected and unforeseen.
This workshop will take a multidisciplinary approach to better understand tight gas sand reservoirs and key challenges.
