Highlights
This year’s conference will consist of two workshops. Reviewing Laser Technologies and Addressing Safety Considerations reviews current and evolving changes in laser technologies while discussing future applications of lasers in directed energy warfare. It also identifies possible approaches for optical protective measures from the damaging effects of lasers on optics. There is a pressing need for non- lethal directed energy technologies for combat as well as non- combat operations.
Directed Energy Warfare 2007 consists of the workshop, Non- Lethal Energy Capabilities and Operational Applications which not only highlights non- lethal weapon technologies and their various applications in non- combat operations, but also addresses safety issues presently concerning non- lethal warfare, touches on public perception of non- lethal technologies and discusses the future of non- lethal weapons and its advantages in the battlefield.
