Enzyme mechanisms: fast reaction and computational approaches
Oct 09,2008 - Oct 10,2008Manchester Interdisciplinary Biocentre, Manchester, England, United Kingdom
-
Highlights
Fast reaction and computational approaches play a major role in the elucidation of enzyme catalytic mechanisms. This meeting will focus on experimental approaches rather than systems. This meeting will showcase the UK strength in fast reaction approaches/computation, and will help facilitate new interactions across scientific areas where specialized expertise in technological areas is required. By bringing together the UK community in biophysics we hope to foster new interactions and provide a focal point for discussion and development of fast reaction approaches across the UK community.
Topics to include:Mechanisms of restriction enzymes
Redox enzyme mechanisms
Contractile proteins
Electrochemical kinetic methods
Reaction simulations/computational chemistry
Fast reaction methods in enzymology
