he first International Conference on African Cultural and Development will be held on the 20th- 24th April 2008, at Accra.

The Conference seeks to draw global attention to African Arts, traditional and social institutions and how its potential can be harnessed for the development of the African continent and the world as a whole. The conference aims to bring together scholars from a broad range of disciplines spanning, Developments Studies , African Culture, Social Sciences and Humanities as well as representatives of African Traditional Institutions, Non-Governmental organizations and Government Agencies to discuss a variety of topics related to culture and national development
